Ateet did an OUTSTANDING job at our wedding! He was very understanding and responsive to our requests, and he played the perfect blend of Arabic and American music for our guests. Ateet kept the crowd dancing from start to finish, and he brought a lot of energy and excitement to the event! He was very quick to communicate with us before the wedding and he answered all of our questions promptly. The website is very organized and allows you to specify just about every detail of your wedding, which was very helpful. Ateet was wonderful to work with, and we would highly recommend him!

Ateet Ahuja and his group at Planet DJ Productions, LLC did an outstanding job at my daughter's wedding on March 15th (Sangeet and Mehndi night) and March 16, 2013. Venue was wedding at Key Bridge Marriott and Reception at Sequoia, Georgetown. Feedback from our guests was extremely positive and with Ateet's help, we created a "WOW" effect for our daughter's wedding

I highly recommend Planet DJ Productions if you plan to have a DJ at your wedding or other big event. They are fabulous! Very organized and prepared, and easy to work with. They create a site for you to choose the songs you want played and to include any other information, such as timeline of activities, grand introductions, first dance song, etc. They also provide uplighting for the venue and a dhol player for our Indian festivities. Our guests said they had a blast at our wedding, everyone was on the dance floor enjoying a mix of both American and Indian music - all thanks to the very friendly and fun people at Planet DJ Productions!

We were SO thrilled with Planet DJ Productions' services at our wedding. You guys provided great music throughout the night as well as excellent MCing! We received numerous compliments (as recently as a week ago) on our fabulous DJ. All of our guests enjoyed the mix of music and thought that you guys did a great job of switching between Indian songs and current popular Western music. There should really be 10 stars for this team! Planet DJ Productions was by far our favorite vendor to work with during our wedding planning process. Ateet and Jordan were very responsive to our needs, provided great advice when needed, and guaranteed a day we would never forget. They couldn't have kept their promise any better. The lighting was so beautiful in our reception building and DJ Jordan kept everyone (I mean EVERYONE!) on the dance floor all night long. My husband and I had an absolute blast and will never, ever forget the most perfect wedding day imaginable! Thanks again to Ateet and Jordan for making our experience so worthwhile. We would highly recommend them to anyone looking for DJ or lighting services in the future. Thanks again!!!

We hired Planet DJ Productions for lighting at our wedding reception. We worked with Ateet to incorporate how the lighting would fit into our theme. We had a very specific concept we were going for to color-wash the walls completely. We were kept up to date throughout the entire planning process and when the day arrived, the lighting effects were phenomenal! The reception looked extraordinary! We received so many compliments from friends and family. We also had ordered an iridescent dance floor from them which complimented the room so well. To top that off the team provided us with dance floor lights which enhanced the effects even further. We are so grateful for everything this team did for us! We can't emphasize enough the importance of lighting and how it affects the ambiance of your wedding. Planet DJ Productions are experts in this and we highly recommend them.

Planet DJ Productions rocked our 2-day wedding! Ateet and his crew were amazing! From the beginning, Ateet asked the right questions; checked out our venue so we could have an informative discussion; gave great lighting suggestions; worked w/in our budget; never pushed us in any one direction but gave us good advice; responded to questions promptly; have a great database/intake form; and really got to know what we wanted. He and his crew were so friendly (interacted w/ the kids amazingly well); dressed professionally..and just rocked!! One month later, our guests are still talking about the DJ and music!

If you are looking for a DJ who knows exactly how to get and keep people on the dance floor then look no further because Planet DJ Productions was absolutely INCREDIBLE. It was really important to me that my reception was really high energy and fun and I knew from the first 5 minutes of them starting that I didn't have ANYTHING to worry about. They made my reception feel like everyone was at a night club and they have an unbelievable read on the crowd! Most importantly, they were complete professionals, very organized, and very easy to work with. Also, their setup includes an LED facade which just totally enhances the dance atmosphere! I will be recommending Planet DJ to ALL of my friends!!

Ateet from planet DJ productions simply did an amazing job. From the beginning of planning the event timeline till the end he was just very professional and polite. He was very responsive to our emails which is so important when you are planning your own wedding as it can get pretty stressful. This is one vendor that made it all easier as he went the extra mile to convert audio files, prepare the timeline ensuring nothing was going to be missed. He really cares about making sure that the couple has a great time as this is their special day. His music and lighting were fantastic. He is very detailed on what the couple wants and ensures nothing is missed. My guests have come to me saying how much they enjoyed the dancing at my wedding, thanks to the services provided by planet DJ productions. I have already referred 2 couples that are getting married this fall 2012. Also, one very important thing- he worked very well with other vendors such as the whitehall manor location which is key in ensuring a smooth wedding planning as not all vendors will approve- but Ateet is very well known in his industry and he did an absolutely perfect job. Planet DJ definitely exceeded our expectations for our wedding! We had an interfaith wedding with a baraat, Hindu ceremony, Christian ceremony, and reception, so it was a long day with a lot of details and different music. But Planet DJ did an amazing job and pulled it all off! Ateet was the consummate professional and very responsive throughout the planning process. The dhol player was great, too. Our guests raved about the music, and the dance floor was packed, which is testimonial enough. Thanks so much to all of you at Planet DJ!

Planet DJ Productions is the most professional vendor we had at our wedding. While we only hired them to provide music/MC services for the weekend, they provided their expert opinion during the weekend on other aspects of our event. If they saw something out of the ordinary they let us know and that went a long way in making the event run smoothly. The music/MC skills are A+. All of our guests had a great and memorable time and we had a blast. While we did not select any music with them, they completely understood our style and knocked it out of the park. We definitely recommend Planet DJ and look forward to hopefully working with them again...or better yet going to a party where they are working! Great Job Ateet and Jordan!!!

Considering this was a fusion wedding with two different cultures coming together, the music was amazing. Our guests commented on how much they loved the flow of the music and the music selection. All we can say is WOW! OK..we lied. We have so much positive things to say about Planet DJ Productions! The services we used included cocktail hour and reception music (DJ Ateet), a motivator (MC Jordan) and lighting.
Lighting: It was impressive! All of our guests were mesmerized by the lighting, which changed colors throughout the night. Our lighting package also included a customized monogram which was projected against the wall. After seeing DJ productions work, we are firm believers that all weddings should have lighting. It totally adds a layer of pizzazz. We even had our macho guys friends describe how beautiful our reception was!
Music & MC: DJ Ateet and MC Jordan were amazing! They took the time to meet with us to discuss timeline/flow and music selections. We were a little worried because we had very specific details on how we wanted to do our grand entrance/timing and music cue. They were on point and didnt miss a beat! We had our reception at the Springfield Waterford. We had asked the Waterford to triple their standard dance floor size. We started to second guess our decision but found out that the triple sized dance floor was still too small. I kid you not...DJ Ateet had EVERYONE (old, young..it didnt matter) on the dancefloor plus people spilling out because it was so packed! To complement DJ Ateet, MC Jordan was a true professional making announcements, hyping up the crowd and helping keep get everyone on the dancefloor. Our guests couldnt stop commenting on how much they loved the energy, music and dancing. Everyone was on the dancefloor till the very end and requested that we keep the party going!

We had two separate wedding events on the same day, and Ateet managed them both seamlessly. Ateet was a pleasure to work with from day one.
He was always very attentive, flexible, responsive and professional. He's really easy to work with and made us feel comfortable about everything. We had a mixed Indian and Jewish wedding, and both Ateet and Jordan were a great team during the reception. They knew exactly what to play and how to keep everyone on the dance floor until the last song. Ateet and Jordan emceed, and they were great, they kept the crowd engaged and having fun the whole time, while being very professional. They knew how to mix the Indian and American music, and keep everyone dancing.
Ateet also did the lighting for our ceremony and reception as well as the sound for our ceremonies. He did an excellent job with the lighting, and really enhanced the space for both our ceremony and reception. I would highly recommend Planet DJ Productions. They are professional, flexible, responsive, and do fantastic work! Thank you Ateet and Jordan for a wonderful wedding!

Sejal and I really enjoyed working with Ateet and Jordan pre and during the wedding. You have been extremely open, flexible, attentive and professional, and we never had to worry one second about any music related aspect of the event. That is priceless when organizing a wedding. We can\'t thank you enough for it.
As for Jordan, it was fantastic having him around the day of the wedding. From the Baraat to the end of the reception, he has been nothing but attentive, discrete, on top of everything. The van with the music during the procession was a blast, the music during the ceremony was well timed and in sync with the Brahman, and the reception music was simply incredible. Jordan is the DJ Everyone would like to have for their party: always present when needed, discrete the rest of the time, and expert to mix our playlist with some of his own music. A pleasure through and through.

We used Planet DJ to provide music and lighting services at our wedding. Hopefully this review provides a good idea for other couples looking for a DJ for their wedding.
1. Selection:
Ours is an inter-cultural/international wedding, so we were looking for someone who could not only play top 40, but also play international music. When we first spoke with Ateet he spoke about playing at similar weddings before. It definitely helped that they were rated as the best DJ by knot.
2. Budget:
Financially, Planet DJ also made a lot of sense to us. We eventually ended up getting lighting services from Ateet as well.
3. Meetings/Interaction/Communication:
The wife and I live in a different city than the wedding venue and we were unable to meet Ateet in person until a couple of weeks before the wedding. This was never an issue since he was always easily reachable over phone or email. If he were unavailable over phone, he would let us know and have us contact him over email.
4. The day of:
Our guests and us had a ball at the wedding. We gave Ateet a list of songs to play at the wedding and in some instances the order of playlist. Ateet and Jordan did a great job in working the dance floor that night. I had never seen so many people dance for so long at a wedding. I could only give so much credit to alcohol and I definitely think that the music kept everyone dancing. They did a great job of playing the right songs at the right time; there was no slow moment at the wedding. Our contract for the venue and the DJ ended at 12 AM that night and they had to ask people to leave, as most folks wanted the party to continue.
The wife and I both highly recommend Ateet and Planet DJ. Despite all the things that keep one occupied, stressed out and busy on the wedding day, we had a wonderful time and loved the music.
