About Me:

Melissa (M) and Kristen (K) are both from the southeast, though M is the true southerner of the two (K comes from a military family). M attended the University of Georgia, and graduated with a degree in Psychology (go Dawgs!). K went to North Carolina State University and graduated with a degree in Biology. What do Psychology and Biology have to do with invitations? Hmmm - we'll let you decide! M and K were introduced by someone with an ulterior motive (aka a financial advisor), and after a 5-hour coffee date, The Green Kangaroo was born. M & K are both married, and both have daughters (1 each) that they adore. While they vary greatly in both appearance and personality, it is their combined fabulousness that has made TGK what it is today!

About My Business

The Green Kangaroo (TGK for short) is a very unique Invitation Studio inspired by the individuality of our brides! We love to create stationery that is as unique as the celebration it represents. All of our pieces are professionally designed and printed so that they endure the test of time. Best of all - they are available online!

My Proudest Accomplishment

Aside from our editorial coverage in several national bridal magazines (which never fails to put that cheesy proud grin on our faces), we would have to say that TGK proudly employs a wonderful team of people. The growth and accomplishments we've achieved with this group gives us a deep sense of fulfillment.

My Favorite Pasttime

Spending time with friends and family (while enjoying some fantastic food and fine beverages on the side, of course!)

Why I Love My Profession

The love letters (i.e. positive feedback) we get from our customers are the best! They motivate us to continue creating our original designs that we know will be lasting keepsakes.
