Kate planned her own green wedding in 2007, and wrote the best-selling green wedding book The Green Bride Guide: How to Plan an Earth-Friendly Wedding on Any Budget (Sourcebooks, 2008). My Proudest Accomplishment

Giving up a career in environmental law to found the Green Bride Guide was the scariest decision I ever made. The fact that the company is now the country's leading green wedding resource is the thing I am most proud of.

My Favorite Pasttime

Maybe it is the fact that the product is so tangible and so functional, but I love making pottery. My mother and I take a class together in New Haven, and going is one of the highlights of my week.
