About Me:

From his home base in Baltimore's quirky Hampden neighborhood, photojournalist Dennis Drenner roams near and far to photograph weddings and events, as well as assignments for publications like the New York Times and Washington Post. When he's not working he can be found dancing salsa in the living room with his Colombian wife Karen, roaming the parks with his Irish Setter "Davinci" or making a delicious puttanesca sauce from scratch. In the wedding off-season he tries to run away to his favorite South American paragliding spots.

About My Business

I've been a wedding photojournalist for over 20 years, photographing all over the country in addition to some destination weddings overseas. I pride myself on being unobtrusive, capturing moments as they occur without interfering with events.

My Proudest Accomplishment

As a photojournalist, winning a Fulbright Scholarship (I spent 9 months photographing in Pakistan). As a wedding photographer, winning a Wedding Wire Bride's Choice Award last year was pretty great!

Why I Love My Profession

I love the constant stream of interesting and successful people wedding photography brings into my life. Oftentimes the relationship that begins with the wedding continues in some way. I see my former clients on TV, read their articles in the New York Times, photograph their children, have their company work on my house, go out for beers, etc.
