I am having my wedding on a military base and I am running into a big problem (at least for me anyway). The chapel only allows weddings from 12 noon to 2pm due to scheduled 3 pm baptisms and 5 pm Catholic services. They say they do not want to rush people out after the Catholic services because of their fellowship. Do I need to just accept the 1pm wedding with a 2 pm reception? Is it a big deal to have such an early reception?
I am the mother of the groom, 5’9″ and not particularly fond of my legs. I would like to wear a floor-length or tea-length dress for my son’s formal outdoor summer wedding. The mother of the bride is short and thinks she looks shorter in a floor length gown so she would like to wear a knee length dress. Will I look out of place if I wear a longer dress than the MOB. The bride says she doesn’t care, whatever I am comfortable in, but I sure don’t want to make any wedding etiquette mistakes. Any suggestions?
I am a having a south asian (Indian) wedding this summer in chicago. My dress for the reception is navy blue so that it going to be one of the colors for the wedding. I really need help incorporating the colors of flowers and decor. I love fuchsia/lime green which would go well with navy blue and reflects the summer wedding. Im not the biggest fan of orange which essentially works well with blue. Please help, do you have any better ideas?
