The Benefit of a Second Photographer ft. Nanina’s in the Park

Many couples are now looking for more candid, photo-journalistic images of their wedding but also want the traditional portrait shots, which dawn the covers and pages of bridal magazines.

What about the groom and his preparation before the ceremony?

All of these questions can be answered by adding a second photographer to your wedding day. That does not mean an assistant, who will carry equipment or possibly get in the way, I am talking about a second professional photographer. At our studio, we offer a second photographer for a half day and a full day. Now, what will you be getting for investing in a second camera?

While your primary photographer poses you for some of the shots you requested, the second photographer can take their time and take candid shots of the entire process, and the images are always great. They usually capture the bride and groom and their bridal party in their natural personalities.

The true value of a second photographer is that they are not worried about the time line, a shot list or anything, which may take their focus away from capturing the couple in natural candid photos.

Your primary photographer will also get plenty of candid shots, however, the second photographer will be worth the investment when you see what they have captured by the end of the night.

We had a second photographer at our wedding and the majority of the pictures that we like were actually taken by the second photographer!
