Some Love for the Groom : Groom Preparation Photography

I want all the brides to know that I’m not taking anything away from the hours, if not days of preparation, you may require for your wedding. I would know, as our staff often starts bridal preparation before the sun comes up, although that is not the norm.
The bride gets, hair, make-up, and an incredible amount of fuss and attention, but what about the groom? The groom does make the other half of what you would need to make a wedding occur.
Don’t you think the groom also wants to look perfect on his wedding day and put in some preparation time? Well, a growing trend with our studio is the addition of a second camera to cover grooms preparation.
Everything from hair, to the tuxedo, the grooms preparation is for him and his groomsmen to feel like they are the feature of a GQ photo shoot.
So, when you are making your wedding plans, and the subject of photography comes up, try to get at least some groom preparation coverage. You will have some great still images to capture the memory of your “once in a lifetime” experience.

I love seeing the guys get ready for the wedding too. It’s always a totally different feel than the bride getting ready, and you’ve done a great job of capturing it.
