Andrea and Andres’ wedding reception was held at a private estate in the hills near their ceremony site. While the bridal party snapped pictures in the expansive backyard overlooking the California skyline, guests mingled at the front of the house, entertained by live mariachi music, two beautiful classic cars, and light cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. The event, from beginning to end, had an Old World Latin feel that came across beautifully both in the décor and the venue.
The backyard was completely transformed for the Muller wedding, featuring a dance floor with floating pink lanterns, an elegant lounge at the fringe of the perimeter, and a frame of several family-style tables. The orange trees that lined the stage, combined with the blooms floating in the garden fountain, helped create a perfect setting for the breezy, laid-back wedding.
The guest tables (featuring white linens striped with blue-green burlap) were lined with bunches of spring blossoms – roses, ranunculus, parrot tulips, garden roses, and other similar blooms – atop hunks of driftwood. The flowers dominated the décor of the tables, and were also found in mason jars that had been painted in a chic, vintage style. Escort cards, table numbers, and menus all matched in style and color, and coordinated beautifully with the other paper products of the event: programs and invitations.
The focus of the wedding was the dance floor – it was full throughout the entire duration of the evening – though guests did find time to make trips to the bar (where margaritas and wine dominated the menu) and to eat the delicious dinner prepared by famous Orange County food truck, Barcelona on the Go. Guests also indulged in one of the event’s several cakes (each with their own adorable cake topper!). Flavors featured chocolate, tiramisu, and red velvet. The slices were more than generous, and guests found it necessary to hit the dance floor to work it all off!
The reception space was filled with color throughout the entire evening – pinks, oranges, whites, yellows, and greens faded to a warm pink glow as the lanterns became the primary focus of the evening. The décor didn’t work against the backyard, it adapted to it. It looked as if this estate was meant to host Andres and Andreas’ reception.
