Kristin– for Fall we have done some stunning weddings that had wine as the main color that was then accented by Fall goodness in shades of oranges, yellows and even light purples or blues. The dark wine was a fabulous backdrop for the Fall hues. We utilized light cafe or champagne colored linens and the centerpieces were resplendent with burgundy dahlias, black magic roses and the Fall accents of voodoo or miracle orange roses, golden yellow day lillies, and fillers like wheat stalks, leaves, and seeded eucalyptus. No black and white required! :)

We would suggest pairing hues of rusty oranges and chocolate brown. Creamy yellows and ivory would also be complimentary… the result would be a rich, warm and elegant fall wedding!

Kristin – Don’t be afraid to experiment! Its very dependent on the mood and theme of the wedding. The best thing to do is to look at color combinations on a color palette so you can see how all the colors interact with each other. My friends at sugar and fluff have put together some amazing color palettes (a few with your wine theme incorporated) which I think could be a great resource for you. Take a look at them and I hope they help! http://sugarandfluff.tumblr.com/search/Color+Palette

You are in great shape with wine dresses. The sky is the limit to the fabulous combinations. You can pull wine tones towards reds, oranges, burgundy’s and traditional fall tones very easily. One combination I love in the fall is deep, plum, egglplant and wine tones combined. I often add antique green hydrangea as a equalizer. The fall hydrangea also has wine accent to the green color. Don’t be afraid of hot crimson pinks and deep purples either. You will have a blast making this work.
