Winter Wedding Tips

For many studios in the north east, winter weddings are on the rise.

A winter wedding offers unique photo opportunities and for many couples an opportunity to reserve a reception location which may not be available during the spring, summer, and fall months.  In addition, many reception locations in the northeast may reduce their rates for the winter months; a welcomed savings by anyone planning a wedding.

Many couples will be looking for ideas, and since most are planning a year in advance or more, they will rely on this year’s fashions and trends to set the pace for 2010.

With regards to flowers, I can only report on what we as a studio see (we will leave the big floral trend questions to the professionals), but based on my photography experience, red is a standard in any season, but there is always a great mix of purples, blues, silver and white.
