Claire Pettibone’s uniquely vintage influenced design aesthetic and use of an extensive palette of extraordinary laces is one that continues to inspire with each collection. The muse for her Spring 2010 season was Cherry Blossoms, with a delicate infusion of Asian details like hints of Japanese Obi, Kimono sleeves, and decorative Chinese knots and tassels in perfect harmony with her sophisticated yet dreamy, feminine style.
As each gown breezed past, we all felt transported to another world as the Cherry Blossom collection worked its magic. Each gown was crafted with Claire Pettibone’s meticulous attention to detail and fit and, while there were many elements in the collection that were unusual, taken as a whole, each gown is ideal for a bride searching for something truly poetic.
