Hollywood Carwash
Last week Kevin wrote a post about taking time out to relax during your wedding planning chaos. Well, we are excited to give away one of the books Kevin mentioned, Hollywood Carwash by Lori Culwell.
FIVE lucky WeddingAce’s readers will win a copy of Hollywood Carwash. Leave a comment on this post by Friday, July 30th to enter to win! Tell us what one of YOUR favorite books is and why, and you might just have a new book to add to your library.
Kevin gave a great synopsis of Hollywood Carwash, read all about it below:
“Hollywood Car Wash is a great read that you will struggle to put down! It was mentioned in a recent issue of Marie Claire in the “Pop Culture Pyramid” as a Guilty Pleasure.
Synopsis: Amy Spencer is an accidental celebrity. On Monday, she’s a normal college student in Michigan. By the end of the week, she’s in Hollywood, starring in a TV pilot– as a regular girl from Michigan.
It’s all fun and games until the show gets picked up and Amy learns the terrible price of stardom—to keep the part she didn’t even want at first, she’s going to have to get the “Hollywood Car Wash” to make her more marketable. First, she’ll have to lose twenty pounds. She’ll also need new teeth, blonder hair, and a megastar boyfriend with a big secret. By changing everything from her weight to her hair to her name, Amy slowly learns that the only way to survive in Hollywood is to lose herself.
Based on true Hollywood events and people, this fresh and funny novel about the ins and outs of the Hollywood game will leave the reader wondering– who is Star?
Hollywood Car Wash is available at your favorite bookstore or online at Amazon.com.”
Thanks Kevin for your great post! Don’t forget to leave a comment to win your copy!

I would love to read this! I just went to the beach for 2 weeks and read the entire Shopaholic series; all 5 books! …. Wow now I sound like a total dork. I loved reading about Becky Bloomwood and her crazy adventures from London to New York to her wedding and her baby. She gets herself into some trouble but always ends up learning her lesson in the end. “Hollywood Carwash” sounds like it could be along the same lines… I can never get enough of Chick Lit.

Just subscribed to Lori Culwell’s blog… it’s hilarious! Would love to read her book. My favorite book is probably Les Miserables, a far cry from this one. But I read constantly, and enjoy trying new things. Hope to get a chance to read this one!

My favorite books are “The Red Tent” by Anita Diamant, and “A Thousand Splendid Suns” but Khaled Housseini. I love books about being women. This book sounds fun and would be a great way to turn off all the wedding thoughts at the end of the night. I love giveaways and I love books, so this is perfect!

My favorite book is White Oleander by Janet Fitch, I have read it at least 8 times and would read it again right now if I weren’t reading “Start Your Own Wedding Consultant Business” by Entrepreneur Press.
I love the language and style of Janet Finch’s writing, she uses a lot of short sentences that add a style I haven’t been able to find anywhere else. She is truly unique and captivates me on every page, even though I have it mostly memorized.
When I’m not reading something so serious I enjoy books like Your Big Break by Johanna Edwards and books by Meg Cabot.
Thank you for this contest and I’m looking forward to reading Hollywood Carwash.
