Simple, elegant, and modern with green and white

Many times my brides want simple and elegant flowers for their wedding – nothing with too many colors or with too many things going on.  For a summer or spring wedding, using green and white flowers is a great way to achieve that simple, elegant, and modern look.

Looping long grasses, like bear grass and lily grass, through and around white flowers creates a modern design element giving arrangements a light and fresh feel.  And speaking of grasses, why not use entire pallets of bright green wheat grass?  These can look very modern by themselves or use them as a support placing escort cards on top.  For bright green flowers, try cymbidium orchids, Fuji mums, or kermit poms. White flowers for that elegant and modern look can include roses, cymbidium, dendrobiums, phalaenopsis, calla lilies, and hyrangea. Using variegated greenery, such as variegated flax, lily grass, ivy, aspidistra, and Italian pittosporum, can add texture and variation to monochromatic or monobotantical arrangements – perfect for a simple, elegant, and modern affair.
