Beach Wedding Perfection

With Memorial Day Weekend just past, summer has (unofficially) begun!  I got to ring in the summer season with a fabulous beach wedding in Malibu.  Setting up the wedding arch in my bare feet digging into golden sun-warmed sand, I couldn’t think of a better way to spend the day.

The wedding colors were aqua and hot pink with accents of light green and soft purples.  Green cymbidium orchids were used for a tropical beach flair and roses, ranunculus, and hydrangea in varying shades of pink were used in the centerpieces and bouquets.  Touches of soft purple were added with lavender sweetpeas and hydrangea.  Flower girl pomanders were made from regular and mini carnations in three different shades of pink and tied with fuchsia satin ribbon.

Bright and vivid color combinations are perfect for beach weddings such as fuchsia, lime green, orange, and aqua.  Elements of the ocean can be incorporated subtlely like adding tiny sugar starfish to bouquets or placing pearlized turbo or nautilus shells on the reception tables.  Let your imagination run wild when planning a beach wedding!
