Love the idea of glueing the blossoms onto a manzanita branch, or floating the orchids in water. I am working on some new invitation designs which will incorporate orchids since they are so popular now for weddings.

Thanks for the in-depth piece on orchids, Tweeny. We attended a wedding a few weeks ago and the Bride had chosen purple vanda orchids surrounded by blue hydrangas for her centerpieces. They were gorgeous! We’ve had several Brides ask how they can save $$ on orchids~ so it’s good to know there are different orchids for different budgets and the differences between them. We’ll point our orchid inquiring Brides-to-be here!

Tweeny, I just love when a bride asks me to design a hair style for her wedding day that incorporates orchids. The delicate, intricate flower lends such a romantic, feminine, almost breathtaking touch to the bride’s overall appearance. They work equally as well in venues like the Ritz and the local beach setting. I have to say, I am a fan of the pure white orchid – but our brides lately have been opting for a splash of color in theirs!
